Course Description
This mini-course is designed for radiologists who interpret breast imaging as well as breast imaging specialists. Content will include screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, radiology-pathology correlation of breast conditions as well as image guided procedures employed in the diagnosis and management of breast diseases.
This course includes 6 credits in mammography that will count towards continuing education requirements of the MQSA.
Course Objectives
- Recognize the importance of breast screening
- Demonstrate proficiency in mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI
- Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of breast biopsy and localization techniques
- Recognize the importance of and demonstrate proficiency in radiologic-pathologic correlation of breast diseases
MQSA Information
Each year, the AOCR will provide one mini-course, dedicated to Breast Imaging. Over the course of 3 years, these mini-courses will provide more than the 15 CME hours required by MQSA and will incorporate all required components. This on-demand mini-course includes the following areas:
- Breast MRI
- Breast US
- Digital Mammography
- Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
- Tomosynthesis

Description
Registrants must view each lecture in its entirety and achieve a minimum score of 70% for each quiz in order to receive CME/SAM credit.
